No More Weekday Sales on Metro Manila Malls to Reduce Traffic

advantages of traffic

On Friday, Interagency Council on Traffic (I-ACT) and mall operators in Metro Manila agreed that there will no long be mall sales in Metro Manila from Oct. 21 to Jan. 9, 2017, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Therefore, all mall sales will strictly be on weekends.

This was done to help alleviate the traffic in Metro Manila.

In addition to that, mall operators will be required to submit their traffic plan to I-ACT two weeks before sale date.

Furthermore, motorists will no longer be allowed to stay on the road while in line for a particular mall’s parking space.

Lastly, a meeting is set next Thursday between I-ACT and mall operators to discuss the possibility of having a 12MN to 5AM product deliveries. Also, a late-opening and late-closing scheme (11AM to 11PM) for malls is in the pipeline.
