Newborn Baby Mouth Taped by Nurse in Cebu Because Baby Was Too Noisy

 

In one of the most disturbing online posts I’ve seen, apparently a nurse in a private hospital in Cebu taped shut the mouth of a new born baby because the baby was too noisy!

The parents were able to take a photo of the baby with the tape. 

Reports say that after the parents asked the nurse to remove the tape, that the parents were told to remove it themselves. Eventually reports say that the nurse did remove the tape, but the baby cried throughout this ordeal. Seeing this supposedly also broke the parent’s hearts. 

The baby named Yohannes, was born last May 3 in Cebu Puericulture Center and Maternity House Inc. 

Not sure what to make of this, the baby could have suffocated. It’s a NEW BORN BABY! It’s probably really delicate and fragile. Why put a tape on it’s mouth? Why be a labor nurse if you don’t like babies?
