Many publications have reported on the boo-ing of Presidential hopeful Jejomar Binay during the Sinulog Festival, Sunday, January 17, morning. He was reported to not being able to address the Cebuanos with a speech which he prepared. Due to the boo-ing he could only say “Maayong Buntag! Viva Pit Senyor!

Meanwhile, Inquirer.net reported that there was a “NO CAMPAIGNING” policy during the Sinulog Festival held in Cebu but Binay was allowed to speak.
“The politicians had been sternly warned they cannot campaign, give out freebies or shake hands with revelers to avoid tainting the religious event with political color.”
Netizens took to twitter their opinions and the hashtag #NogNogSinunog was used which some people found offensive.
