Netizen Rides Jeep With Free Movie and Wi-Fi

The jeep has become the national symbol of the Philippines (It’s even on our logo!). Wherever you go around our 7,107 islands, you’re bound to see a jeep. But you probably haven’t seen one with a free movie screening and wi-fi, right?

Jeniffer Rio has. This netizen shared on her Facebook page how she encountered a jeep along Alabang-Zapote Road in Las Pinas with a TV playing Attack on Titan, and free wi-fi. According to her:

I was just waiting for a jeepney on my way home. In front of Perps ako sumakay. Ang tagal ko nga naghintay, mga 10 minutes siguro kasi madalang yung mga may sign board na Zapote Kabila. Finally dumating yung jeep. I had no idea na may TV sa loob. Sumakay lang ako then nagulat ako may sounds pero di naman music. Pagupo ko nakita ko na yung TV. Yun na nga, Attack on Titan yung movie.

(I was just waiting for a jeepney on my way home. I got on across Perps. I waited for about 10 minutes because it’s rare to see jeeps going to Zapote Kabila. Finally the jeep arrived. I had no idea there was a TV inside. I got on and was surprised to see it playing Attack on Titan.)

The post is part of her Facebook project called Project 365.

Pagtingin ko may nakapaskil na sign na free wifi and nakasulat na din yung password. I said, “Wow, ang cool nito after a stressful day!

(There was even a sign saying free wi-fi with the password written on it. I said, “Wow, this is cool after a stressful day!”)
