The government isn’t kidding on their no-smoking stance.
Reports say that Health Secreatary Paulyn Jean Ubial has confirmed that President Rodrigo Duterte will be signing an Executive Order (EO) banning smoking throughout the country.
According to the secretary, the EO will be enforced sometime within the month.
The nationwide no-smoking policy will be patterned after Davao City’s own no-smoking ordinance, recognized by the World Health Organization for its strict anti-smoking measures.
After the EO is signed, all public places will be 100 percent smoke-free.
