NAIA: World’s Worst Airport or World’s Best Bullet Detecting Facility?

From 2011 – 2014, Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA was named as one of the World’s Worst Airports by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports – a site that reviews the best features and facilities of the airports globally.

However, this year, NAIA isn’t on the list but is now apparently tagged as the World’s Best Bullet Detecting Facility due to the alleged bullet planting incidents.

On two separate incidents, thelaglag or tanim bala (bullet planting) scheme allegedly victimized a Japanese tourist and an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) leaving for Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Senator Ralph Recto, through a resolution, called for an intense investigation of the said scam.

On a lighter note, even the “Lourd” de Veyra, posted a funny comment about this “tanim bala scam”:

(Rough translation: “Congratulations, NAIA. I heard you are now under the Department of Agriculture. Because, apparently, you’re good in “planting.. bullet.”

Whether you’re a frequent traveller or not, this scam is absolutely ridiculous!
