MRT, LRT, and PNR Announces Holy Week 2015 Schedule

For those traveling around Metro Manila this coming Holy Week, the Metro Rail Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), and Philippine National Railways (PNR) just announced their operations schedule for April 1 to 6.

MRT Operations

MRT3 announced that there will be no operations on April 2 to 5, 2015 (Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday). Regular operations will resume on April 6.

On April 1, the last trip from North Avenue station will be at 7:40 p.m. while the last trip from Taft Avenue station will be at 8:20 p.m.

LRT Operations

LRT1&2 Holy Week Maintenance Sked:

Apr 1(Wed) – open but last train is at 8 PM.

Apr 2-5 – no operations.

Apr 6 – resume operations.

PNR Operations

According to Manila Bulletin:

PNR will operate the Metro South Commuter Line (MSCL) until Maundy Thursday but with lesser number of trips. The MSCL will suspend operations from April 3 to 4 and will deploy lesser number of trips when it resumes operation on Easter Sunday. MSCL will resume normal schedule on April 6.

PNR’s Bicol Commuter Train Service (BCTS) will operate as usual until Maundy Thursday and suspend operations on Good Friday and Black Saturday. The BCTS will resume normal operations starting Easter Sunday.

 

In case you have plans of going around Manila this Holy Week, plan ahead since most of these transportation channels will suspend operations and will just resume on April 6.
