WHEN IN MANILA, Sundays are the best day of the week to have a mother-daughter bonding. And what better way to bond than to go to a spa and have a pamper session.
After a stressful week at school and a stressful week at work, mother and I headed over to Mod Lei, a cute and sophisticated spa along the Katipunan area fit for kings and queens.
As soon as we entered the spa, my mom and I couldn’t help but gush over the gold curtains that spell royalty like no other.
Mod Lei’s private nooks are super cute and chic promising total relaxation without compromising one’s privacy.
While waiting for the therapists to prep our little nooks, we were served with Mod Lei’s complimentary organic grape juice.
After downing on the super refreshing organic grape juice, my mom and I headed over to our own nooks to try out Mod Lei’s different services.
Since my mom and I wanted to have a total relaxation day, we tried out Mod Lei’s hand & foot spa, Mod Lei’s Lomi massage, and Mod Lei’s Anti-Aging facial treatment.
So first off was Mod Lei’s hand & foot spa.
Soaking my feet on a bucket of water has never been this pretty.
One thing that Mod Lei boasts about their hand & foot spa is their 12-step treatment that’ll make you feel like a queen. And I must say, their therapists are very meticulous in their craft promising an extra sparkly service that you won’t forget.
After the hand & foot spa, we headed over to Mod Lei’s massage room for the facial and the massage.
I love how Mod Lei makes it a point to show their appreciation for their customers with a surprise, a little note and a chocolate on their massage tables.
Next off was Mod Lei’s Anti-Aging facial treatment. What I love most about Mod Lei’s facial was their incorporation of Emu Oil which promises to treat various skin diseases and make the skin feel glorious for days.
Saving the best for last, Mod Lei’s Lomi massage was just amazing. With different strokes and the use of forearms instead of the usual palms, you can’t help but wish that the massage will last forever and just drift off to a happy place.
