Miss Earth Philippines 2016 Imelda Schweighart had a Facebook Live session where she asked Miss Earth Austria delegate Kimberly Budinsky if Hitler was from Austria.
Kimberly answered, “Okay, that’s a bad question because we normally don’t talk about Hitler, but yes he is.”
To where Imelda commented, “Our president is doing Hitler stuff in the Philippines.”
“That’s crazy,” Kimberly responded. After a short pause, she continued, “Well, that’s how it is.”
The Facebook Live video has since been deleted from Imelda’s Facebook page. However, Pageant Central posted a clip on their Facebook page.
After this incident, Imelda received a few criticisms online. Some people showed support though and said that we have freedom of speech.
Imelda has already posted an apology on her Facebook page. However, her Facebook page seems to have been changed to private or deactivated.
Pageant Central was also able to get a screenshot of the apology and posted on their Facebook page.
