Mindful Help: Providing Relief Through PsychoSocial Support

Polytechnic University of the Philippines Peer Facilitators Association (PUPPFA) is a socio-civic, non-stock, non-profit organization under the PUP Guidance, Counseling & Testing Services that holds outreach program, trainings, and seminars for students. These developmental programs aim to strengthen the bond and build bridges to maximize the productivity and individual potentials in their academe.

As part of their service, the PUPPFA will be conducting its university-wide 10th Annual Youth Congress (AYC) entitled “Mindful Help: Providing Relief through Psychosocial Support.” It is a seminar-workshop with the main objective of bringing awareness and knowledge about Psychological First Aid. This will be held on December 01, 2017, Friday, 8 am to 3 pm at Bulwagang Balagtas, 4/F NALLRC, Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Mabini Campus, Sta. Mesa, Manila.

This is a seminar-workshop which equips the participants with basic psychological first aid that could be used in any day, any type of situation that they will be in – be it helping a suicidal friend, comforting a stranger, even handling their own stresses and problems. This will cater 1500 to 2000 student attendees from PUP– Manila.
