Miley Cyrus Wins Video of the Year at VMA 2014, Sends Homeless Teen to Accept the Award

When Miley Cyrus was called as the winner of Video of the Year at the VMA 2014, she chose not to walk to the stage but rather, she sent someone in her place — a homeless teen named Jesse accepted the award for her and delivered a heartfelt speech to raise awareness regarding the problem of the homeless youth in America.

Jesse is one of the many homeless youth in America. The speech he delivered was about his story, which was watched on by the tearful Miley Cyrus.

The details regarding the “Prizeo Campaign” can be found on Miley Cyrus’ Facebook Page.

Help me raise awareness and funds to end youth homelessness! This is just the beginning for me, but we’re going to get started now by focusing on My Friend’s Place, a homeless center for young people in Hollywood.

You can support the cause by making a donation here:www.prizeo.com/miley! For every $5 donation, you’ll be entered to win a trip for 2 to Brazil to hang out with me at my show in Rio de Janeiro on Sept 28th. You’ll get the full VIP experience, including 2 of the best seats in the house. ‪#‎MyFriendsPlace‬ ‪#‎VMAs2014‬
