Midnight Owl: The Ultimate Refuge For Insomniacs and Late Night/Early Morning People

Midnight Owl: The Ultimate Refuge For Insomniacs and Late Night/Early Morning People

When in Manila, everything you need is just around the corner. While there are times when you will have to exert a little more effort into looking for it, there are also times when you will just bump into it all of a sudden. Serendipity is what some people might call it. For others, it’s chance.

It might be fate that I discovered this restaurant called the “Midnight Owl” because it’s the perfect place to work and relax at the same time (or I was just lucky enough to have friends who pointed out to me that this place existed).

Does your favorite coffee place close too early? Is your go-to restaurant too noisy for you to be able to concentrate on your work? Thou shall not fear, because Midnight Owl is here.

The Midnight Owl Snack Cafe, more popularly known as Midnight Owl, is neatly tucked away at a place addressed as Mapagkawanggawa St. cor. Mabait St., Teachers Village, Diliman, Quezon City. It is open from 4PM until 4AM during Mondays through Thursdays; and 5PM until 3AM during Fridays and Sundays. Sadly, it is closed during Saturdays because they refer to it as Study Break Day.

The interior is air-conditioned; decorated with “owl boards”, which are blackboards and whiteboards (if ever you want to conduct a meeting with your group mates); and books, in order to get you more into the studying zone. They also serve midnight snacks, shakes, all-day breakfast meals and home-baked goodies to satisfy your cravings at the most unexpected hours of the day.

The most unique thing about Midnight Owl, though, is that they have “Wake Me Up” slips, in case your eyes can’t take it anymore and you just want to take a nap.

When in Manila, the Midnight Owl Snack Cafe is definitely the best place for you to spend the night working on that paper you’re finishing or cramming that report you totally forgot to do over the weekend – or if you just can’t sleep and your tummy is craving for some mojos delight at 2AM in the morning, that’s also a pretty good reason.
