Michael Christian Martinez, the lone representative from the Philippines made good at the Sochi 2014 Winter Games.
The Filipino ice skater made winter olympic history as he qualified for medal round of the men’s figure skating event at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
He is the first athlete to ever compete in the winter olympics representing the Philippines. At just 17 years old he is making history!
The announcers were very impressed with Michael Martinez and even mentioned his talent, potential, dedication and how Michael Christian Martinez’s hard work was truly impressive as he was the first skater in the practice ring.
