Men in Motorcycles Chase After Car, Break Car Windows

They say it’s never safe to travel at night by yourself as there are always bad people looking to take advantage. Unfortunately nowadays, it doesn’t matter if you’re walking or in a car, it doesn’t even matter if you’re alone or with a group, if someone sees you as a target, they will pursue you. So make sure to be extra cautious at all time and have an emergency plan ready.

Just recently, James d. R. posted a story on Facebook to warn others of what happened to him and his friend. Read his story below:

Car Chase (01)

“For those who are asking kung anong nangyari samin, this is the whole story.

This happened last Monday. Gamit namin yung car ng classmate namin. 3 kami, ihahatid sana namin yung isa kong classmate sa may Dasma bayan. Before that, pumunta muna kami ng District Dasma. After 40 mins, umalis na kami.

This time naman, binubunggo na nila yung likod namin saka pinupukpok.

So after 20 mins of driving, may nakita akong subdivision ata, pinasok ko so ayun maraming tao akala namin safe na kami medyo nawala na yung kaba namin.

Rough English Translation:

For those who are asking what happened to us, this is the whole story.

This happened last Monday. We were using our classmate’s car. There were 3 of us in the car, we were on or way to take home one of our friends along Dasma. Before that, we first went to District Dasma. We left after 40 minutes. I’m not sure what you call that highway, but we turned after SM Molino and came out in District Imus. This was around 9pm. When we turned, we noticed there were 2 men on motorcycles across the gasoline station “Phoenix”, they were just hanging around there. Our car window was open while we were listening to some music and this might have drawn some attention. We left and went ahead until we noticed someone following us. Since I was the driver, I just drove faster toward our destination. But we still couldn’t lose them. They were putting their lights on bright, glaring my vistion. I drove faster but they were able to catch up. This time, they were bumping and knocking on the back of our car. We felt really nervous and had no idea what to do. I was driving at a speed of 100-140+ mph, I was no longer stepping on the streaks and I didn’t stop honking my horn, all the cars moved aside for us. Still, the motorcycle did not stop and they were trying to corner us. We were so scared that I was already shaking. I even wanted to just crash the car, that might stop them! But my classmate told me, “You can do it, they wouldn’t be able to catch us.”

After 20min. of driving, I saw a subdivision and went in. There were a lot of people so I thought we were now safe. But something suddenly hit us from behind and when we turned to see, they apprantly threw a big rock at us. The rock went in the car, luckily, it didn’t hit any of my friends. We did however feel the shattered glass all around us. After that, my friends transferred to the passenger seat with their heads bent down. We called on all the saints, and many times we cried out “Lord help us!” We even told each other that we were about to die. We couldn’t think of anything more. I went on and finally, the 2 motorcycles stopped. We were so thankful as we thought we entered a dead end, not to mention it was a field. They could’ve killed us right there.

I still brought my friends home. We were very much traumatized over what happened but very much thankful that no one got hurt. As long as you have faith, God will not leave you alone.

So to everyone who passes that street, always be careful especially if there are no older people with you. I don’t think it’s safe anywhere. there are always people with bad intentions.”

I wonder what those men on motorcycles wanted. I can only imagine how scared the driver and his friends were. Has something like this ever happened to you? What do you think is the best thing to do?
