Deadpool 2

X-Men fans, we have news for you: three of its upcoming films will be getting new release dates so it’s time to update your calendars!

The horror film New Mutants will be pushed from April 13, 2018 to February 22, 2019, while Deadpool 2 will be released earlier than expected from June 1, 2018 to May 18, 2018. An origin film focused on Gambit will be moved from February 14, 2019 to June 7, 2019.

There’s no news on why dates have been shifted.

New Mutants is the first X-Men comics spinoff, launching the careers of Deadpool and a large group of mutants in Marvel Graphic Novel #4 in 1982. The following year, they got their own title, which lasted until 1991. It was rebooted in 2003 with a new group of characters.

The film is reported to be very loyal to its source material, and will feature Magik, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Cannonball, Sunspot, and Warlock. Professor X is set to make an appearance.

There’s no word what the sequel to Deadpool will be about but Ryan Reynolds will return as the titular character and he will be joined by Josh Brolin as Cable, Zazie Beetz as Domino, and Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna in undisclosed roles. Kesy will be playing a villain, rumored to be Black Tom Cassidy.

Meanwhile, the Gambit film will star Channing Tatum as the character. Gambit is the alter ego of Remy LeBeau, who can mentally create, control, and manipulate pure kinetic energy, commonly through playing cards.
