The IKARUS THEATRE COLLABORATIVE, along with our media partner, WheninManila.com, invite you to celebrate Buwan ng Wika by watching MARIKIT NA! , an original rock musical that showcases the myths and history of Marikina.
MARIKIT NA! is a stage play written in Tagalog;Â it is a celebration in dance, story, and music that is best appreciated by the whole family. The play is written and directed by Jay Crisostomo IV (Director of Prinsipito, Playwright/ Director of God of the Machine, and End of the Gallows) which is put to music by Tiemponado, and choreographed by Jomelle Era (Former UP Filipiniana Dance Group and Daloy Dance Company Member) and, Vincent Soliven (Lahing Kayumanggi Artistic Director).
The play is both educational and entertaining. Come join us as we learn about the city which has allowed us to flourish as artists, and as Filipinos! It will be shown this months of August and September at Dito: Bahay ng Sining.
