Marco Polo in Ortigas is not hard to find. With its colorful lights and its being one of the tallest buildings in Ortigas CBD, it will surely get your attention.

Opened in 2014, Marco Polo is no stranger to business travelers. With first branch in Davao followed by the one in Cebu, it took the hotel chain 15 years before they opened another hotel in the Philippines. Keeping their guests in mind, Marco Polo Ortigas gives a perfect view of the Ortigas-Pasig skyline and boasts of being the country’s first sky hotel with 316 rooms and the upper floors used for office, events and other things.

Upon entry of their Deluxe Room, you will automatically feel how spacious it is. You can even do cartwheels in the hallway. They kept the design simple, concentrating on the wood cabinets, tables and walls. The room has a yellow light that perfectly blends in with the hues of the room.

I love hotel beds; they are super comfy and will always make you want to extend your stay.

The Deluxe Room has 1 bed, but if you are going to book the Superior Room, you have the option to get two beds. These rooms can accommodate two adults and two children below 12 years old.

The work station – something very important to business travelers and bloggers like me.

The rooms in Marco Polo have an Executive Desk and Wi-Fi so you can work right in the comforts of your hotel room. No need to go to the hotel’s Business Center.

There is also a couch where you can sit and look at the beautiful view of Pasig, Cainta and Antipolo.

The bathroom is very spacious and simple. It has all of the basic things you might need in your bathroom. There is also a seat in front of the mirror where you can sit to put your makeup on as you prepare for a night out.

The toiletries are neatly tucked into this box, so there isn’t a lot of clutter around the sink.

The bathroom is equipped with a rain shower and marble bathtub, so you can relax after a long day.

Just opposite the pool and spa area is the gym where you can break a sweat while looking at a nice view. Marco Polo Ortigas’ Flow Fitness Center is located on the 22nd floor and is open from 6am to 10pm.

There is also a trainer to help you out with your routine and you can get complimentary fruits and citrus-infused water.

Also located at the 22nd floor is the indoor infinity pool overlooking the Ortigas cityscape. This is perfect for those who want to relax because only a few takes advantage of the area.

Just across the pool and the gym is the Flow Spa. At first, I didn’t expect the spa to be huge, but it can actually hold multiple guests and has spacious rooms that are equipped with showers, tubs and saunas.

The spa offers a wide range of services that is perfect for those who want to unwind and relax. The Flow Spa is open from 9am-12mn and you can avail of their facial services, foot spas, massages and body scrubs there.

When in Manila and looking for a hotel that is near malls and restaurants, but still has the relaxing feel, Marco Polo is perfect for you – a place to chill even in the middle of the city.
