MAGIS Radio: Ateneo de Manila University Launches First Ever Internet Radio
The Ateneo Association of Communication Majors (ACOMM) launched MAGIS RADIO, Ateneo de Manila University’s first ever student-run internet radio station last Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Cervini Field, within the Ateneo campus.
The event comprised of performances by ACOMM’s very own ACOMMpany and Ateneo Junior Marketing Association’s Dance Troupe, beats by DJ Arthur Tan, and up and coming bands from the Ateneo Musicians’ Pool, as well as professional Ateneo-bred acts She’s Only Sixteen, Runmanila and Never The Strangers. Audiences were treated to contest like the best #ootd, twerking contest, and a raffle with an all-expense paid buffet for 10 at any Vikings branch as its grand prize. Hosted by Magis Radio’s batch of fresh-faced roster of student DJs, the evening did not only launch the Internet radio station but also a kickstarted the year for ACOMM’s lineup of projects!
