Maginhawa has always been known to be one of the biggest food hubs in Quezon City. In the past years, a great deal of awesome food places has been springing up along the street and its nearby areas and, today, it’s undeniable that there is more to discover in UP Village other than the famous street. Tucked in Food Centrale, one of the newest food park in the area, Macho Wings serves an array of delicious wings and snacks perfect for pulutan or a filling rice meal.
Wings Feast!
Macho Wings is currently serving five different types of wings, all of which are equally savory and would actually leave you craving more. Wild Spice (PHP 130/4 pcs), one of their best sellers, is their original blend and has the right amount of spice to give you that subtle kick in the end. No wonder many patrons are addicted to it and keep on going back for more.
Cheesy Bacon x Garlic Parmesan with Wedges
Our personal favorite from the bunch would definitely be their Cheesy Bacon (PHP 130/4 pcs.), which are wings covered with mouthwatering cheese and topped with generous amount of bacon bits. It can actually stand alone, without the need of any sauce to heighten the flavor. It goes well with their dirty rice (PHP 35), their version fried rice sauteed with herbs and spices, which complements perfectly with their variety of wings.
Hickory Barbecue (PHP 130/4 pcs)
Many other flavors are available too. There is the Garlic Parmesan, which is perfect for those who love garlic; Hickory Barbecue, which are wings exquisitely covered with delicious barbecue sauce; and their very own experimental Mango Habanero, which is served with mango sauce and has that distinct Asian feel compared to the other flavors.
Wild Buffalo Strips (PHP 150)
Aside from the wings, they also serve other finger foods such as their chicken strips, fries, beer battered onion rings, and potato wedges. Their menu is something that goes perfectly well with beer, but the stall doesn’t serve any as a part of the food park policy. Don’t panic, though! A beer store is available within the park, and Macho Wings is more than open to let you drink on their area as you enjoy their sumptuous menu.
Cheesy Bacon Potato Wedges (PHP 100)
Plan to go here with the gang for a chill night out? They also serve Macho Peeps Pack for groups, giving you a more wing options for an affordable price. Packs of 12 with 3 different flavors are only sold at PHP 420, while packs of 24 with 3 flavors are available for PHP 760. Sounds like a good deal, right?
One of the things that I could definitely say about their food is the fact that it has no umay feeling in the end. Compared to other wings, theirs are actually something that you can binge on without feeling so sick by the time that you whip off that one last piece. As what people say, this place is definitely “SOLID.” Their food is something that I highly recommend, and I would definitely love to come by and eat some more in a heartbeat.
