On Monday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) shared a photo on their Facebook page showing that the Manila Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) looked more spacious as it had fewer passengers (and all the passengers have seats on the photo). Apparently, this is the effect of their deployment of 15 trains after the Holy Week break.
Here are the details of their post:
Walang halong biro ‘yan. ?

The post earned mixed reactions from Facebook users. Although there were several negatives comments, most were posted to express their gratitude and congratulate the agency.
One agreed with DOTr’s statement and said that he was able to sit on a 7:30 AM trip from North Avenue to Cubao. He was also amazed that it wasn’t crowded in the station when he got off.
Some were grateful for this improvement. DOTr made it clear though, as people were asking, that this will not eliminate the long lines. Still, this is an amazing change!
Great job, DOTr! Keep the improvements coming!
