LOOK: Will This 993-room Hotel Be the Official Residence of the 2016 Miss Universe Candidates?

In an official announcement made in late July, Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo confirmed that the Philippines will be hosting Miss Universe for the third time on January 30, 2017. The event will be funded by the private sector. Among the sponsors are Henry Sy and Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada.

Okada is the chairman of Universal Entertainment Corporation, which operates Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc., the trade name of Okada Manila formerly known as Manila Bay Resorts. Okada Manila, an integrated resort and gaming complex located near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, is being pegged to host the Miss Universe candidates.

Said hotel will have a soft opening in December this year, featuring 993 rooms and a two-hectare fountain!
