LOOK: We’re Getting the Throwback Feels with Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia

Don’t you miss the old days when you go outside with your neighborhood friends, and play until sundown? Or listen through a portable CD player and carry it around your school like a boss? You know you’re getting old when you reminisce over Jollibee chairs that were color purple back then and the interiors that would include a huge wallpaper of people eating Jolly Spaghetti, Chickenjoy, or fries. There’s just a gazillion of things of what to miss, more now that changes are quick and never ceasing; but there are things that just stick with you and don’t change over time.

Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia Taste A Blast From The Past

With Jollibee’s newest ambassadors, Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, they are set to send some throwback waves to the generation of today as they release their newest commercial showing a total blast from the past. The commercial was fashioned over a TVC 30 years ago campaigning for the new slogan back then: Langhap Sarap—even as we know it today. The slogan, 30 years after, is still snappy and comes hand in hand with the famous Yum burger. And even after the considerable time apart, it’s still the same Yum burger that you long for—same taste, same aroma.

The young couple admitted that as they were filming the TV commercial, it took them a lot of takes and this comes with eating more and more burgers, which for their part, they said, is the enjoyable part. Moreover, they wouldn’t let a Yum burger be half-eaten, so whenever they were given the Langhap Sarap goodness, they would really finish it.

The Joshlia tandem was the perfect team to remind the generation then and the generation of today of what goodness tastes and smells like. No time can tell apart the Langhap Sarap goodness of the Yum burger, even if it’s 30 years long (I am not reminding you of your age).
