Makeup is an art and the artistry of some of our artists is amazing. This Halloween, makeup artistry is everywhere. However, there are those that stand out. For someone whose idea of a Halloween look is just to apply powder on my face and let down my long hair for a ‘Sadako’ look, I can only marvel at them.
Just as I marvel over blogger Timmi Bandian’s makeup looks that she created for Halloween. Timmi considers herself a makeup junkie and we can see that on her Instagram and blog. Her looks reflect current trends and issues. She bases it on a situation that we feel strongly about or on a pop culture reference. The photography is also her own work. She simply uses a phone camera and a selfie stick.
“I used to just watch tutorials,” she says. After learning the basics she challenged herself to refine her craft. She likens her addiction to face paint as a sort of extreme ‘Snapchat filtering.’
