Following what Joey did on that one episode of FRIENDS where he was trying to annoy Chandler, a lady wore 4kgs worth of clothes to a flight not to annoy a friend but to dodge a baggage fee of $85.

Natalie Wynn was stopped prior to boarding the Thomas Cook flight when the airport security weighed her baggage that showed 9.4kgs. She was told that her luggage was too heavy to be accepted into the cabin as the limit was just 6kg. The over-baggage would cost her .

To avoid the additional fee, she wore 7 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of shorts, a skirt and a cardigan.

Natalie said she was “boiling” as she took the Manchester flight to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands wearing nearly half of the clothes she had packed.

She also said that some passengers were amused by what she was doing when she started wearing the clothes and some even laughed. Other passengers offered the extra space on their luggage.

According to Thomas Cook, they were amused by what Natalie did and they even compared it to Joey’s act on FRIENDS.

Natalie, from Oldham in Greater Manchester, said: I was boiling, absolutely boiling. I still had plenty in my case but I put near enough half of what I’ve put on.

It definitely worked. Normally I check the weight of the baggage but I did the online check in for me and my friend, but we got to the counter and they just stopped me.

I didn’t want to be using the little amount I had just so I could get my bag on the plane. I literally said, ‘I’m not paying it’, and started putting my clothes on.

Is this a travel hack? What do you think?
