LOOK This College Doesn't Allow Its Students to Have Relationships With Each Other

Part of the high school and college experience is to have a boyfriend or girlfriend. The early stages of puppy love can incite feelings of kilig in anyone. For girls, the feeling of a guy picking her up after class is a memorable experience, while for boys, preparing his ligaw with his best buds can bring friendships closer. But for the Golden Heritage Polytechnic College in Cagayan de Oro City, “love affairs” can “destroy.”

A large tarpaulin near the campus entrance says, “Love affair[s] will surely destroy the life of a young lady student. Therefore, this institution prohibit[s] intimate relationship[s] between a male and a female student.”

School president Capt. Tito Dichosa said the policy was implemented to curb teenage pregnancies and for students to finish school.

And it looks like the school is serious about this prohibition: last year, six students were already expelled.
