A few months ago, you probably wouldn’t have known Empoy aside from being a comedian you’ve seen in gag shows here and there. Now, he’s making headlines for being the newest heartthrob of Philippine cinema due to the success of Kita Kita, where he played the funny leading man Tonyo.
When we say “heartthrob” we usually think of the charming clean-cut dream guys such as John Lloyd Cruz who is also a leading man in the recent romcom film Finally Found Someone. But Empoy is challenging these tropes and proving that he’s a heartthrob in his own right.
In these photos, we see Empoy channeling his inner leading man with photos of THE John Lloyd Cruz and THE Piolo Pascual.
And honestly, we can’t see the difference. 😉

Or maybe we should be expecting several more romcoms from Empoy because he seems to be on the same level as Papa P now. And I’m not even mad!
