If you’ve heard of Star Wars (and I would hope that you have), you probably know the Stormtroopers for being the Galactic Empire’s soldiers who can’t shoot right, and Darth Vader for being that dude with the airy voice and ~SPOILER~ Luke’s father. Well, apparently, they’re not just that. They’re musically talented as well!
At least, that’s what The Philippine Air Force Band showed us with their Star Wars themed performance at the recent marching band competition Ihudyat 2017–“Festival of The Finest Philippine Marching Bands.”

The performance opened with a beautiful rendition of the Star Wars theme song that will make fans geek out.
Personally, I found it most amusing to see Darth Vader waving his lightsaber around, conductor-style. It was such a far cry from his “evil leader” reputation, making it so enjoyable to watch.
The Philippine Air Force Band’s performance ended with loud cheers from the audience. The whole spectacle caused the marching band to win first place for the competition.
It’s a well-deserved award for The Philippine Air Force Band. May the force continue to be with you!
