LOOK: These Stunning Disney Illustrations Will Make Your Heart Flutter

I have always said that there is nothing I love in life more than Star Wars except Disney (though now I don’t really need to choose anymore because they are one and the same thing – yay!) In fact, I went absolutely crazy when I went to Hong Kong Disneyland last year and I’m almost in my 30s. :p

So, when these AMAZING Disney illustrations popped up on my Timeline one day, I found myself staring at every single one; taking each one of them in; appreciating every single detail on them; and imagining filling my room with posters, my notebooks with cut-outs, and my gadgets with stickers of them.

And then I contacted the genius behind the creations, Gian Nicdao. Aside from his love for animated films, Gian says being surrounded by Filipino artists (like Risa Rodil, Abbey Sy, Tippy Pelayo-Go of Googleygooeys, Vin Quilop, and Hench Dulin, just to mention a few) really inspired him to try out illustrating. “I started this project as means to practice illustrating and in some way, as an escape since it was a hectic time in my life when I started this,” he shares.

Of course, I had to ask him about his favorite Disney movie and he admitted the he honestly can’t pick one. However, he  shares: “Hercules is the first Disney movie I remember watching – it was on VHS then! There’s something about finding your place in the greater scheme of things that always gets me.”

Check out some of his Disney illustrations here:

As of now, Gian sadly doesn’t sell any prints of his work anywhere, but he did tell me that he’s already looking into some options, so I will keep my fingers crossed for that! (Be still and patient, my heart.) For potential collaborations, you may contact Gian at giannicdao@gmail.com

What about you? What’s your favorite Disney movie? And which illustration is your favorite? (I truly and absolutely love them all and can’t get enough of them!)
