LOOK: Single Mother Graduates From College And Shares Her Inspiring Story

It’s graduation season, and I’m sure we have all come across inspiring stories of success, determination, and perseverance. Social media is no stranger in telling these kinds of stories.

One of these inspiring stories went viral on social media this week. It was a graduation picture of a woman with a small boy in her arms.

The picture was posted by Hanessy Billones Teodoro. In the caption, she told the story of her journey through college while raising a son on her own.

Check it out below:

In the Facebook post, Hanessy shares that she had her son when she was 15. People told her that she wouldn’t be able to finish her studies anymore because she already had a son. But she persevered all the more and proved them all wrong.

In the photo’s caption, she shares how her college life differed because she had a son to raise. She told stories about days when she had to bring her son to her classes, and how it would break her heart every time she had to leave him at home.

Still, she says in the post that she doesn’t regret having a child at 15. She also wants people to know that having a child at a young age does not mean that there’s no more hope and that life is over.

She writes, “Kung gugustuhin may paraan, kung ayaw maraming dahilan. Proud ako kasi may anak akong anim na taong gulang na, pareho kaming pumapasok sa school para maabot ang tagumpay. Mahal na mahal kita anak! Lahat ng ‘to para sayo.. para satin.

Hanessy graduated with a degree in AB Psychology from Arellano University. Her story has been shared on Facebook more than 13,000 times and has gotten more than 92,000 likes.

Her story is truly an inspiration to all single mothers and students alike.
