Here’s a look at the brand new Philippine e-passport and its design!!
According to local reports, the new passport showcases a more colorful design than its previous iteration, and will contain new security features.
Some of the new security features reportedly included is the inclusion of a latent image which is only visible from a particular angle, ultraviolet ink which can only be viewed under UV light, different security background designs for every visa page to prevent tampering, watermarks, and laser perforation for the unique document number on the passport’s inside pages.
The new passport design also features the Philippine eagle and the Philippine cockatoo, a rare species, behind the passport cover. The National Anthem and the 1987 Constitution preamble will also be featured on the next pages.
Several landmarks are also reportedly included in the visa pages of the passport, such as the Metro Manila skyline, the Mayon volcano, the Ifugao Rice Terraces, among others!
