Allow me to share with you my wonderful Valentine’s Dinner Date Under the Stars with my mom last night at Novotel Manila Araneta Center.
For most of us, Valentines is a day for romantic dates with our significant others, as for me, I’ve chosen to celebrate this day with my dear mom, to make her feel special and as my way of expressing gratitude for always supporting me. My mom has endured so many hardships before as a single mom, so now, it’s my turn to care for her and give her the best life possible. She’s my inspiration for working hard and I’m so thankful that I’m able to share my life and blessings with her.
Anyways, around January, I did an online search of Valentine promos around the metro and found this super unique “À La Belle Étoile (Under The Beautiful Star)” dinner at the Versailles Garden, located at the 7th floor of Novotel Manila Araneta Center. I knew mom would love an outdoor dinner date, so I didn’t hesitate to book. It included a special five-course gourmet dinner, live music performance plus a rose and a box of pralines for the ladies. The cost was only around P5,000 or 100USD ( P2,500/ person) so it was within my budget.
We arrived around 7 pm last night and we were so mesmerized with the setup. It looked so dreamy and magical. Mom and I were super happy <3

Oyster Velouté with Bacon, Avocado and Tomato Crostini
Beet Risotto with Asparagus, Mushroom Fricassee
Beef Medallions or Salmon with Broccoli Polenta Cake on Pomegranate Jus
Strawberry – Banana Mousse with Peanut Crunch and Caramelized Walnuts.
They each gave us a long-stemmed rose and a box of pralines!!! Thank you!

We liked the food a lot and the service was flawless. I’m so happy to have made the right choice. It was my mom’s first time at Novotel, so I plan to treat her on a staycation next. Awwwww, I really hope they will offer this again next year, so I can invite other friends. Special thanks to their wonderful team for making this truly a night to remember.
