In the world Westeros, fates are wicked and so are the people. In real life though…they all seem to be great friends! Carice Van Houten, the actress who plays the red witch Melisandre on Game of Thrones, tweeted this photo yesterday:

Kerry Ingram, or Shireen Barratheon on Thrones, left the show during Season 5 and Van Houten’s parting gift to her is a hilarious nod to the way the character had to leave the show. It is one of the most heartbreaking deaths on Game of Thrones (and there is a lot) as Shireen’s own father, Stannis Barratheon, burned her at the stake under the advice of Melisandre.
So yeah…fire references are on point!
It was revealed though that the box in the picture is not actually Van Houten’s real gift. That is merely a result of a witty Photoshop battle. Although her real gift is just quite as naughty as well:
