No, Michael Bay hasn’t given up. Yes, there will be another Transformers movie.
Set to be shown next year, “Transformers: The Last Knight” will revolve around Optimus Prime trying to find a way to bring Cybertron back to life with the help of an artifact found on Earth.
The latest teaser tweeted by the official Transformers Twitter account, though, doesn’t revolve around the good guy, but around the bad guy, Megatron.
Interestingly enough, Megatron looks like he came straight out of a Lord of the Rings movie and he’s wielding two weapons in the photo: a sword-axe(?) and (YES, FINALLY!) an arm-mounted cannon. Check it out:
While I personally only really liked the very first Transformers movie out of the series, I have to admit that I can never resist watching them once they do come out. In fact, I’ve seen all of them and I’m really, really, really secretly still hoping that an amazing Transformers movie will surface soon.
