Well hello there, John Lloyalistas! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you might have seen or heard about the photos of John Lloyd Cruz that recently made rounds online. Yes, we’re talking about the apparent leaked images of JLC’s shoot for a new project, which started speculations firing from left and right.
A family drama? Or (fingers-crossed) a romantic comedy? While guesses and theories have been thrown by fans everywhere, the biggest question in everyone’s minds is “Who is the mysterious leading lady?” (Or is it even a leading lady?).
We’ve made a short list based on who the people think and who we think this John Lloyd’s girl might be:
1. Sarah Geronimo
One of his iconic love team partners, John Lloyd’s reunion with the popstar princess this 2017 brings him back home to the romantic comedy turf. Could this leaked photo be from their upcoming project with Sarah, “Dear Future Husband”? It would be exciting to see Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro make us laugh and cry again on the big screen!

2. Toni Gonzaga
Who would ever forget Apollo and Irene’s memorable love story in My Amnesia Girl? (Puns intended). With her own brand of quirkiness opposite Lloydie’s loveable boy-next-door appeal, their on-screen chemistry is something we’d really anticipate to watch again in the movies.

Bar none, she’s the ultimate John Lloyd leading lady. There will always be a JLC-Bea tandem that would move audience to tears no matter how many times you watch them. From One More Chance to A Second Chance, they are a pair that has truly grown together through thick and thin and will always find their way home back to each other.
And we’ve got a special scoop, which really makes us think that it might actually be Bea!
Judging from the video, the mystery girl is most likely JLC’s ultimate leading lady. So can we expect a reunion project between the two? Regardless, we’re very much excited even with just the fact that it’s a John Lloyd project!
