LOOK: Facebook Will Have a Virtual Exhibition of Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflower Paintings

If you are a fan of the post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh, then you will have something to look forward to this Monday as Facebook will bring together 5 of his famous sunflower paintings for the first time since the 1880s.

The great part about this is that Facebook will be able to bring all of these paintings together without moving them from their current places (take note that they are all located in different galleries – and in different continents!). The event is called Sunflowers 360 and will use photography, CGI and virtual reality to create a “fully-immersive digital exhibition” that will apparently make it seem like all of the paints are in a single room.

The event can be experienced with a 360 video on Facebook or a Samsung Gear VR, and will be broadcast from The National Gallery in London first at 5:50pm BST followed by The van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam at 6:10pm BST, the Neue Pinakothek in Munich at 6:30pm, the Philadelphia Museum of Art at 6:50pm, and the Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Museum of Art in Tokyo at 7:10pm.
