Moreover, to show their love and unwavering support to their beloved Mayor for 22 years, they decided to give him a very timely gift: a Philippine Flag-themed cupcake!
The first Mindanaoan and 16th President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte is among the longest-serving mayors in the Philippines and has been Mayor of Davao City, for seven terms.
According to the members of Davao Bakers’ Club and owners of Annipie, Andrea and Erwin Anonuevo, about 30 bakers volunteered to make this fascinating gesture happen.
On a quick interview with Andrea, she said: “we are all supporters of Digong. The association namin ang nag spearhead. Davao bakers club inc. Association of bakery owners in davao. This is sort of a gift to Digong.”
They started baking last Thursday and produced 5000 cupcakes to form a Philippine Flag!
Ultimately, this would not have been possible without their generous sponsors. They all worked together as one nation, one love, one goal: #changeiscoming.
Wow, 5000 cupcakes!! Now, that’s a “sweet” gesture!
