Coldplay, the British rock band known for the songs Fix You, The Scientist, and Yellow, to name a few, is in the country for their tour! It’s the first time for the band to play in the Philippines.
Of course, with the many countries they have yet to get to, the band will only be in Manila for a few days. With this, it seems like the band’s frontman, Chris Martin, is making the most out of their visit to the Philippines.
Just before the band’s concert at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, Chris Martin took the time to visit one of his biggest fans in the hospital.

Last month, the story of Ken Santiago went trending because of his sudden diagnosis of stage 4 cancer, which prevented him from attending the band’s concert. His brother took to Facebook to try and bring Coldplay to him.

Fortunately, the story reached event organizers and the band’s management. And so, Chris Martin went to see one of his avid fans.
In the Facebook post by Kim Santiago, she quotes the concert organizer’s statement to Ken: “Hindi ka makakapunta sa concert kaya siya yung pumunta sayo..”
The family thanks the event’s organizers and encourages others that “nothing is impossible if you just believe.”
If this heartwarming story doesn’t give you hope, then I don’t know what will. Thank you, Coldplay, for showing us how a small encouragement can be a source of hope for others.
