LOOK: Artists Combine Rival Brands’ Logos for Elections Campaign

On social media nowadays you may chance upon the occasional political beef on conflicting political views right on your timeline. While it’s great that a lot of Filipinos are very active when it comes to political discussions, some can’t tolerate when political beliefs  go against their own. This has led to unfollows, blocks, and unfriend-ings not just on Facebook but in real life. #FriendshipOver 🙁 That’s just online, offline events are much worse. Usually it’s the die-hard supporters of a candidate who cause problems.  Death threats, house bombings, and other election-related violence have become the  norm come election period and it gets real ugly.

With over 54 million registered voters in the Philippines, it would be difficult to send a message to each saying that while a little competition is healthy, contempt and all-out bloody conflict is unnecessary. In the end, Filipinos have different political opinions and ideal candidates but always the same vision- a better Philippines.

However, a team of artists from Avanguard Creatives have bravely countered the trend of direct conflict between opposing ideas through their United Differences Campaign. What follows below are images that once would have been considered as market competitors but have now become melded into harmonious products that could actually work.
