Vengeance must be profound; it should be absolute.
So were the words of a dangerous man who will stop at nothing to exact revenge on the president of the United States. And that’s exactly what he did.
When news broke out that the British Prime Minister has died, world leaders flocked to the capital city to pay their respects. Unfortunately for them, Barkawi, the FBI’s #6 most wanted terrorist has crafted a very elaborate plan to take out the leaders in one clean swoop.
One by one, each world leader met its untimely and gruesome death as the different landmarks in London were decimated.
Fans of this kind of genre are going to love the action-packed minutes that followed. Chaos ensued as soon as the first gunshot was fired. All of a sudden, terrorists disguised as police escorts started downing men (even women).
Everywhere you look, someone’s getting shot. A gunman, agent, and even civilian falls on the ground, lifeless one after the other.
A car is being blown up. Buildings are being torn apart–the Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and the iconic London Bridge.
It’s one of those movies that doesn’t hold back when it comes to violence. The bloodbath is enough to make even hardcore action fans get caught off guard. You’ll clearly see heads getting blown off or eye sockets being stabbed repeatedly. It’s fun and gory at the same time.
In the middle of the gunfight, Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), tries his best to protect President Asher (Aaron Eckhart) and keep him alive. He’s also trying to stay alive because he has a pregnant wife back home.
The quest for vengeance is a very strong driving force in the movie. Barkawi, the mastermind terrorist, has done everything in his power to avenge his deceased loved ones. And that meant capturing the President of the United States and executing him live, in front of billions of viewers.
Banning does his best to protect the president. Although the fight scenes are fun to watch, there’d be times when you’d start to wonder if it’s even realistic at all because he can single-handedly take down armed men. But I guess that’s explained by his job. He’s not part of the Secret Service for nothing, anyway.
The question is, will the terrorists be able to capture the most powerful man in the world and kill him with the whole world watching?
Of course, you’d have to watch the movie to find out. But if there’s anything you need to know, it’s that Mike Banning will fight to the death to do his job.

An elegant premiere night
On March 2, the Uptown Cinema became the venue for London Has Fallen’s premiere night. It was an elegant and fun-filled night attended by not just movie fans but also TV personalities, models, and prominent fashion celebrities.
Each attendee got to experience the red carpet treatment for the VIP screening. Guests paraded down the red carpet and had their photos taken and proceeded to the cocktail area where they were served with sumptuous treats.

No other feeling can top being treated like VIP in a movie screening in a place as luxurious as Uptown Cinemas.
That being said, you definitely need to come here and catch the latest blockbusters. There’s no reason to sit through a movie in a not-so-pleasant environment. Why settle for that when you can have the best time in comfy seats, impressive audio and video, and accommodating staff?
