The City Garden Grand Hotel is a lovely hotel popular to business travelers. It is nestled in the middle of the bustling city of Makati, providing easy access to the business district. We had the privilege to take a tour of the hotel and spend a night at their luxurious Presidential Suite.
The Presidential Suite is located on the 32nd floor, which is one of top floors in the hotel. It is the biggest room among the 311 units in the entire hotel. It is composed of a large dining/meeting area, a living room, a bedroom, and one and half bathrooms. Adding a sophisticated touch is a huge in-room jacuzzi that is located right across the living room area.
Once we stepped inside, we immediately felt that this is how the rich lives.
The room offers a very spacious, elaborate, and expensive home that is very comfortable to stay in. The flow of wide space from the dining/meeting area to the living area to the bedroom and the warm earth tones gave us a vibe of zen. It can be expanded further as it can be connected to all the rooms on the same floor. The expansive area is ideal for families and small group of friends.
The suite features remarkable ornaments such as brown onyx stone on the luggage rack, synthetic pig skin on the headboard, Italian-glazed stones in the bathrooms, and narra-made doors and floors.
It is typical for large suites to have a jacuzzi, but this is the first one we have seen with a party-size jacuzzi. You can take a dip in it while you unwind looking at a nice view of Makati, thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows that are neatly covered with white and thin curtains. It is best to enjoy this view at night with all the city lights turned on, just before you go to sleep.
The large dining table can accommodate ten people. The area can also be used to hold small business meetings and other functions. A flatscreen TV is installed at one end. There is a small, cozy area beside it where people can simply lounge around.
The bedroom is as large as a regular hotel room in its entirety. There are several chairs around where people can sit and move about.
There is also a small home-office space that has a very comfortable swivel chair where you can do quick work-related tasks.
The main bathroom is also immense. It comes with a his and hers sink, a dressing table, a rainfall shower, a free-standing bathtub, and self-contained toilet. The wall sconces add a more relaxing feel to the room.
The City Garden Grand Hotel’s Presidential Suite is a room of its own kind, which is way out of the ordinary. It takes relaxation into new heights as it offers a plush and pleasant place to stay for anyone who can afford it.
