Lend a Smile to Marawi this November 4, 2017

Lend A Smile To Marawi is a portrait shoot open to the public with the intent to raise funds for children affected by the armed conflict in Marawi. Although the war is over, their situation is far from okay. You can have your portraits taken by Mica Abesamis and pay any amount between Php 100 – Php 1000. Have your photos taken and expect 100% of your money to be spent on relief goods to children in evacuation camps in Marawi.

They need our help! According to the United Children’s Fund (Unicef), around 50,000 children have been displaced from the fighting. They have left their homes and schools.  Families have sought shelter in the houses of relatives, while some were forced to crowd into evacuation camps. In evacuation centers, they are exposed to health risks, from dehydration, sickness, and hunger.

The children of Marawi need food, clothes, toys, diapers, medicine, mosquito nets, sleeping materials, and much moral support to keep their health and spirits up.  We need to raise funds that will help with the humanitarian efforts especially in municipalities in Lanao del Sur where help is slower to come (taken from https://www.gavagives.com/help-marawis-children)

The event will take place this November 4, 2017 in Neon Oven located at Unit 304 Archerub Building (NS Ocana) 146 Timog Corner Edsa, Quezon City
