This October 20, laugh the night away under the sky with UP EURO in “HALAKHAK: An Open Field Film Showing,” at the UP Diliman College of Science Amphitheatre.
First launched in 2014, UP EURO’s open field film showing is an event that showcases the different aspects of European and Filipino culture through film and aims to further develop interest in and promote Euro-Filipino relations. “Halakhak: An Open Field Film Showing” will be the fourth instalment of this event. Admission is free and this event is open to students, non-students, film enthusiasts, everyone!
Comedy will be the main theme of this semester’s open field film showing. See the different takes on humor conveyed by European and Filipino filmmakers in their works. The short films that will be featured are from our partner European embassies, cultural institutions and university organizations.
UP EURO is a duly recognized, university-wide student organization that caters to the interests of those who envision a mutually beneficial common future between the Philippines and Europe. Its birth is inspired by the current waves in Europe towards full integration. The organization maintains partnerships with various European embassies and institutions in the Philippines, as well as oversees projects and events with these institutions to uphold the ideals of both parties.
The said event will be held from 6pm to 10pm at the UP College of Science Amphitheatre, UP Diliman. The event is open to all and is free.
