Laguna Paint Build: Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter

HFH Ateneo WIM 2

Paint me a picture and tell me what you see. Can you imagine a decent home for all Filipinos not ridden in poverty?

Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter, the student arm of Habitat for Humanity Philippines in the Ateneo de Manila University, invites everyone to their second Major Build for the year. Building on Habitat for Humanity’s advocacy of building and repairing simple, sustainable, and affordable homes with partner communities, builds are an avenue for volunteers to be hand in hand with partner families and communities in building their homes.

With the support of sponsors First Baker and WhenInManila.com as a media partner, Habitat for Humanity Blue Chapter will be holding its Major Build at Calauan, Laguna on November 4, 2017 from 6AM-2PM.

The paint build aims to spread awareness around Habitat for Humanity Philippines’s advocacy of building hope, stability, and self-reliance by giving more Filipino families a decent home and a better chance at life. By volunteering, participants can be a part in paving the way to champion decent housing for all Filipinos.

By painting homes with the families, you can be a part of bringing forward brighter opportunities to a more colorful future!

“Perhaps the question is not, ‘Can we afford to provide decent housing and basic services for all humans?’ Rather, it is, ‘Can we—the human species—afford not to?’”
