What could be more star-strikingly exciting than eating Lee Min Ho’s favorite chicken? It’s getting a chance to see and meet Lee Min Ho himself! Fortunately for his Filipino fans, KyoChon, home of the world’s favorite Korean chicken, already made this an early-year priority with the Lee Min Ho Fun Meet during the grand opening of its newest branch at the Greenhills Theatre Mall.

 

Right from the opening of its first local store in SM Megamall last year, KyoChon Philippines has promised to bring its Korean ambassador to the country this year. The famed Boys Over Flowers star has been to the Philippines a few times in the past. However, a familiar Korean savor coming to greet and join him meet his Pinoy fans made this an extra special visit this time. He admitted to this being his favorite KyoChon moment since being chosen as its image model. 

 

 

Not unexpectedly, Lee Min Ho was met by hundreds of his fans in front of the Theatre Mall. Helping to officially welcome the guest on stage were Sam Oh, who was the event’s host, and none other than San Juan City’s Vice Mayor Francis Zamora.  TV host Robi Domingo, actor Edgar Allan Guzman, as well as the Vice Mayor’s family were also present during the event to see Lee Min Ho live.

 

 

Weeks before the event, KyoChon patrons were already hyped up for Lee Min Ho’s arrival thanks to the Save The Date Lee Min Ho photo contest on their Facebook page and a raffle draw where, in total, around 30 lucky fans were chosen to get up close with Lee Min Ho, have signed posters of him, and even take pictures with the Korean superstar.

 

 

KyoChon already has over 1000 branches across the globe, and will soon be opening its fourth branch in the Philippines. With the Korean craze ever undying in our country, it came as no surprise that KyoChon made its way easily to the hearts of Filipinos. The restaurant is most notably famous for its double-frying method that makes for their undoubtedly delicious and healthy chicken dishes. Lee Min Ho’s personal favorite is their Red (Spicy) series. And, needless to say,  he shared that KyoChon chicken was the first thing he ate upon arriving in the Philippines.
