“Kingsman: The Secret Service” Sequel is Set to Come Out in 2017

Kingsman Eggsy

Matthew Vaughn’s “Kingsman: The Secret Service” did great on the global box office, reaching around $400 million, despite it being released on theaters alongside the Sam Taylor-Johnson’s controversial hit film “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Therefore, it should come with little surprise that a second installment of “Kingsman” is in the works.

According to The Wrap, “Kingsman 2” is starting to get going with 20th Century Fox and is set to release in 2017. Aside from that, no other details are available from the director to the cast.

Thus, it is unknown if Vaughn will return for the sequel. Rumor has it that Vaughn might be busy as he is in the talks in creating a big screen version of “Flash Gordon.” Additionally, Vaughn has never made a sequel of his movies despite two of his films having follow-ups namely Kick-Ass and X-Men.

At present, there are no information of the plot but there are murmurs here and there saying that Colin Firth’s character, Harry Hart, might return although he clearly died in the first installment. What we can expect though is that the sequel will continue the adventures of Taron Egerton’s Gary “Eggsy” Unwin.

Even without the specifics, the return of the “Kingsman” sounds exciting.
