Kris Jenner celebrated her 64th birthday last Tuesday, and a supposedly simple birthday dinner at The Beverly Hills Hotel turned into something more when Kim Kardashian surprised everyone by taking them down memory lane. She revealed that she rented out their old family home to celebrate their mom’s birthday.
Upon the revelation, Kris Jenner became emotional and shed some tears.

Kim’s present for her mom didn’t end there, either. She also got the place done to look exactly as before: with the same house print and wallpaper. Aside from family, Kim also invited her mom’s closest friends to have lunch at their childhood home, where they reminisced the entire time.
When the day was coming to an end, Kim had another surprise up her sleeve. She rented every car that her parents owned and they all drove back in those cars. (She even had the exact license plates remade!)
In an Instagram post, Kim shared her sentiments on how special and emotional the day was for her family.
“All of our memories live here especially with our dad. It’s where each Kardashian child was born and made us who we are. Growing up, the home had the most ridiculous wallpaper and kitchen set! I remade all of our table settings, decor out of the same fabric and print as the wallpaper. We had lunch at the home as if it hadn’t changed and we cried the entire time.
“This was the most special, nostalgic day of my life and we felt my dad’s presence enjoying this day with us! I kept it together and didn’t cry the entire lunch even though I cried during the entire planning process. But at the end I went into my old bathroom, closed the door and cried so hard.”
