Amidst our busy and hectic lives, staying fit usually takes a back seat. But fitness, more than being a chore or a nice-to-have activity is actually essential for us to function at our optimal levels at work, at home and at play. A strong body means a strong mind and heart that will take us through the challenges of everyday life. There always are different approaches to fitness and we just have to find what works best for us and our individual circumstances.

This is what Kickass Philippines believes in as it strives to become one of the  country’s premier fitness communities. It aims to define new approaches to fitness and endeavours to inspire Filipinos to “kick-out the excuse and embrace awesome”. Founded by Ruby Gan, renowned Philippine retailer, power lifter (Philippine Team) and long-time exercise  enthusiast, Kickass Philippines will put together an exciting series of events and initiatives to formally launch the community. The team behind Kickass Philippines include Takbo.ph’s Quennie Gavan, international marathoner and triathlete, Mench Dizon (www.wandermench.com) and super couple TJ and Em Sulit of Game Changer (www.gamechanger.ph).

The launch of the Kickass Series happens in Makati. The series is comprised of regular community events meant to ignite interest and inspiration. Every other month, starting October 2015, Kickass Philippines will hold one-of-a-kind learning sessions for weekend warriors, active families and curious newbies.

This coming October 17, Kickass Series presents “Strollin’ With My Homies” at the Ayala Triangle Gardens. Celebrity coach couple Ani and Dan Brown will share how you can mix fit and function and even use baby gear like the stroller, to make your workout more interesting. Attendees also include Coach Rio and Nicole dela Cruz, Monica Eleazar-Manzano among others.

Watch out for more exciting fitness and wellness initiatives from Kickass Philippines and be part of a community saying yes to kicking-out the excuse and embracing awesome!
