In case you haven’t heard, Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Kehlani is coming to Manila for the first time ever! Make sure to block May 25 on your calendars because this is something you won’t wanna miss.

Kehlani through the years
PopLyfe and America’s Got Talent
Kehlani released her first mixtape in 2014, but did you know that she was actually in a group called “PopLyfe” before that? PopLyfe began in 2009 and joined America’s Got Talent in 2011 where the group finished in fourth place.
Cloud 19
In 2014, Kehlani was finally able to produce her own music and she released her first mixtape, “Cloud 19”. Kehlani’s Cloud 19 was able to make it to the “50 best albums of 2014”, as well as “Overlooked Mixtapes 2014”.
You Should Be Here
Just a year after Kehlani released her first mixtape, she released her second mixtape called “You Should Be Here.” The mixtape debuted at number 5 on the US Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. “You Should Be Here” has guest appearances from BJ the Chicago Kid and Chance the Rapper.
Grammy Nomination
In 2016, Kehlani was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Suicide Squad OST
Kehlani’s song “Gangsta” was featured on the soundtrack of Suicide Squad. Because of this, “Gangsta” was able to make its way to number 41 on the Hot 100.
SweetSexySavage
Kehlani’s debut album, “SweetSexySavage”, was released on January 27, 2017. She also released an official music video for “Distraction”, one of the songs in the album, in the same year.
Opening Acts
Kehlani’s first opening act was actually for rapper G-Eazy way back in 2014. Just this year, Kehlani opened for Demi Lovato’s Tell Me You Love Me World Tour and then for Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour.
