The Philippine Association of Chemistry Students, Inc. (PACS, Inc.) kicks off its 52nd year with the Junior Chemistry Congress. Through the years, the Junior Chemistry Congress or JCC, continues its vision of excellence in the field of Chemistry by inspiring young Filipino minds across the nation through its four sub events.

The first sub-event is the symposium, which aims to gather high school students in hopes of encouraging them to take up Chemistry-related courses such as BS Chemistry, BS Biochemistry, and BS Chemical Engineering in the future. This year, the symposium will comprise of series of well-known and experienced speakers from the different chemical and chemical engineering industry, academe and research field.

PACSiklaban Junior challenges the participants through a battle of wits in Chemistry subjects such as Inorganic Chemistry and Basic Organic Chemistry. Teams of three students from Grades 8 to 10 face off in order to win the grand prize of P2,000.

The third sub-event is the Investigatory Project Presentation which searches for the most promising investigatory project of high school students from Grades 9 to 11. The projects are screened by well-versed researchers and professionals in various fields. The top researchers are given the opportunity to defend their projects hoping to bring home P1,000.
