Julia Barretto and Sisters are Raising Funds For an Emergency Quarantine Facility

Barretto Sisters

Local celebrities are just some of the people helping the fight against COVID-19. The latest to join relief efforts are Julia Barretto and her sisters Dani and Claudia, who are raising funds to build an emergency quarantine facility.

According to Julia on Instagram, “Our hospitals are now facing a major overcrowding problem due to the rise of COVID-19 patients in the country. To help lessen the burden on our hospitals, Dani, Claudia, and I, in partnership with WTA Design Studio, are working together to raise funds to build an Emergency Quarantine Facility.”

The sisters are trying to raise P600,000, which will cover “P350,000 for one emergency quarantine facility -an architecturally designed facility that will serve as a quarantine location for patients who need to be isolated. P250,000 for workforce requirements to provide meals and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the builders and volunteers.”

WTA Design Studio developed a facility that can accommodate 17 beds. It also has space for a disinfecting misting chamber and lavatory facilities.

Julia ended her post with, “Our objective is to provide Emergency Quarantine Facilities (EQFs) for COVID-19 cases and in that way, we can also relieve hospitals from being too crowded with patients at one time.”
